However, it’s important that we view our life successes from a godly perspective. If it is our goal to render success solely for fame, accolades, and monetary gain we have cheapened the favor that abounds towards all who follow Christ. The blessing of God is so much more than nice homes, vehicles, and wardrobes; these are the things in which the world find value. Moreover, we are not stamped with a red F (by God) if we are not adorned with glossy, celebrity-mimicked "success".
It’s time to reevaluate the motives of our goals people of God. Why are we really pursuing certain things? Is it for the edification of the Body or for temporary, selfish fixes? God judges the motivations of our hearts. So, regardless of why we verbally proclaim to engage in specified activities, God knows the truth.
This Week’s Tip: Turn off the T.V., put down the gossip magazine, log off of Twitter, and pick up the Word of God (Bible). All that other stuff is temporary. Let’s feed ourselves on the meat and potatoes of life, and not the Skittles and Dum-Dums!
Signing Out.
