Look At The Bugs, Fool!

It is officially springtime! The birds are chirping—their preludes beginning at 3:30am (trust me I know). The squirrels and chipmunks are feverishly running around gathering every edible item that can fit snuggly in their already packed jaws. All the cars, houses, EVERYTHING has a distinct layer of yellow pollen film. And my favorite (I’m being extremely facetious), the bugs are swarming, buzzing, and biting by the drones.

As I sat outside this morning, sipping on one of my latest healthy drink concoctions, I noticed the alarming amount of bugs! Now I’m not normally the squeamish type—eek!—but spring time seems to produce MILLIONS of bugs. So as I finished up my drink and looked on the ground, I noticed this beetle. Yea, we’ll call him a beetle since I’m no bug-ologist. Anyway, this particular beetle thought it was okay to invade my space. He marched forcefully into my bubble with no regard for me being much bigger than he, and having the power to end his little buggy life if I felt threatened. To detour his advances, I placed my foot in front of him, and he charged on. Then I placed my empty cup in front of him, and he charged on. I felt myself getting a tad bit annoyed with Mr. Beetle until I chuckled at the bug lesson that immediately arose in my spirit.

“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise” (Prov. 6:6). This was the scripture that I thought about. But the Nicole Denise interpretation of that passage is, “Look to the bugs, fool!” This little beetle was on a mission this morning. And apparently, what he was focused on required him to invade my area. So, without concern of his livelihood being threatened, he proceeded to get past me in order to complete his mission. His Christ-like determination outdid the faith of many Christian humans.

When obstacles attempt to hinder us we stop at the roadblock and/or retreat. We complain about the hindrance to God, but never once think of pressing on through the deterrent. Let’s not give into baby complaints anymore this year saints—“This is too hard.” “How am I going to do this all by myself?!” Instead let us look to the tenacity of one little beetle on a mission, and realizes how foolish some of our complaints must sound to God. We serve an all-powerful god who keeps the entire universe intact. So, it is officially time to ditch the Pampers, put on our big girl/boy britches, confess Luke 1:37, and KEEP IT MOVIN’! Don’t let a stupid bug outdo you in the faith department FOOL!

Happy Spring Time…and I still love you although I had to call out your (and my) foolishness today!

Revelation From A Clogged Sink

As I entered my bathroom for the third time this week there remained water in the sink. Now mind you I’ve dealt with this plumbing issue for more than a month now. But, there was something monumentally different about this clog. Since there had been a drainage problem, I’ve ceased use of the bathroom sink until it is fully rectified. However, in the past couple of days I’ve watched water enter the sink from the bottom of the basin. The water was rising from the bottom up.

Weird!

As I handled my bathroom duties this morning, however, God clearly spoke to me. He said, “I’m taking your life of abundance back to how it was originally planned in Eden. Remember the water to nurture Eden’s vegetation would rise from the bottom of the earth, as there had yet to be the materialization of rain? So, not only will I open up the floodgates of heaven and RAIN blessings down on you that you will not have room enough to receive, in those times of no rain, I’ll irrigate your life from the bottom with my blessings!”

What?! How amazing is God?!

I thought I’d share that revelation with you all today because so many of us are looking to heaven for answers. And that’s awesome, let’s continue. But, God is reestablishing order as He originally intended, so begin to look at those things He’s irrigating from beneath. What is God restoring and bringing back to life at the ground level of your life today? What fields has He brought much needed moisture back to before He rains down from heaven on those situations? Begin to thank God for His “ground water” as He prepares us for the great onslaught of heaven’s rain!

Blessings Good People!

Dwelling Under God’s Focused Light

While reading Genesis 1, the creation story, I found something rather interesting that I had missed on several occasions reading this passage of scriptures. I realized that God called forth light twice—on Day One and Day Four. Why was this so? As my mind pondered and reread this chapter in several translations, I finally understood what God was trying to reveal to me. It’s quite simple; He desires us to dwell under His focused light. Allow me to explain.

Think momentarily. If you are in search of something that is located in a dark room under the bed, it may require the use of two light sources. [S.N. This has actually happened to me recently.] When you enter the room you would click on the main light. This act is equivalent to God’s first command to the universe “Let there be light” (Gen. 1:3). He needed lighting to see exactly what He was going to create out of this vast expanse of nothingness. And once everything was well lit, God went on to create the heavens, earth, seas, and vegetation. He approved of all these things and called them well. However, just as when I walked into the room, turned on the light, and still couldn’t find what I was looking for under the bed, God required a second lighting as well. Realizing that I needed a flashlight (focused light) in a well lit room got me to thinking about how God illuminates our lives.

When we think of our first coming to the knowledge of God there was this Great light bulb that was instantly made aglow within us. All things were new (and well lit), and old things had passed away. Like God’s newly lit workspace, we were indeed a new creation. However, as God readied Himself to create animals and His most prized creation, man, He required more intense lighting from the sun and the moon. I coin this stage the “second lighting”. And it is during this second lighting, that God reveals those things stashed “under our beds” that need to be cleared out.

As we become more and more like Christ, God purposely illuminates those areas that require correction and cleaning. So, the moral of this story would have to be search out God’s focused light in your life. What are those areas that He is attempting to bring to your attention through focused lightening? How many times does He have to place the spotlight on certain areas before you cooperatively allow Him to change them? What is God revealing to you under a specified spotlight?

Now for the record, this type of lighting may be uncomfortable because “all eyes are on you”, but trust that under the watchful eye of a loving Father, only the best creations are fashioned. So, today allow God to mold you into what He desires under His guidance, and shy not from dwelling in (and under) His focused lighting.

Be blessed good people.

The Idolatry of God

With first glance at the title, this phrase may seem oxymoronic because aren’t Christians to idolize God. Well, the short answer to that inquiry is yes AND no. Allow me to explain. Through study of God’s word and observation of current societal trends I have noticed a growing enticement of Satan’s deception. And this one is so completely twisted, because it involves the use of the Creator Himself. There are several individuals who identify with the Christian faith and would go as far to deem themselves “Christians”. However, in the words of the Father, “…this people draw near Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips but remove their hearts and minds far from Me, and their fear and reverence for Me are a commandment of men that is learned by repetition [without any thought as to the meaning].”(Isaiah 29:13 AMP)

Wow! There are literally establishments of Christian origin where parishioners worship God and partake in the many traditions of Christianity (communion, washing of feet, casting out of spirits, praying, fasting, etc.), but their practiced mechanics lack heart. People in such churches and organizations have been a part of this charades game for so long that they are oblivious to the fact that GOD is not associated with their worship. They are being led by demons, seducing spirits, familiar spirits, and those who impersonate the acts of God; and are completely clueless! Don’t think for two seconds that demons can’t preach the house down like any other godly preacher—it’s possible, and it’s happening!

I’ll prove it. Think back for a moment to Moses in the Bible. When He was sent to Pharaoh by God to demand that He set the children of Israel free, remember what happened? Every sign and wonder God gave Moses to perform (rod turning to serpent, turning Nile river to blood, etc.), Pharaoh had his own team of magicians who were capable of the same thing (see Exodus 7)! This is still present today people. Satan has up’d the ante and is using the Prince of Peace to push his product to those immune to the detriments of “rules and regulations” Christianity. It is imperative that as Christians we know God, and not just know about Him. We must formulate a personal relationship with Him through daily Bible reading, prayer, meditation on the Word of God, and routine dying to self. For this is the only way we give God the pure worship that He requires of His followers (see John 4:24).

It’s amazing the number of “believers” I come into contact with who live in fear, follow their own desires and lusts, habitually live in sin, and hate earthly brothers and sisters, and yet call themselves Christians. NOT SO! God is making the separation between those who truly love Him (see John 14:15; 21; 23) and those who mechanically worship Him like any other genie or lucky charm. It’s time to know for certain that you follow the true and living God, and not a watered down version of him being superimposed by your local community demon. This battle is real and you better know for certain that God knows you because of the personal relationship that validates you as His.

Wearing a crucifix around your neck is no longer going to cut the mustard. As a matter of fact take that off because Christ is alive, well, and waiting for your pure and unadulterated worship!

Be Dumb Like Zacharias or Blessed Like Mary

While reading Luke 1, this morning, I was dramatically shown the importance of how one responds to a word from the Lord. As I read the account given by Luke, it begin with detailing the priestly duty of burning incense in the temple assigned to Zacharias. He loved God, and was devoted to carrying out his lot according to the will of his heavenly Father. As the story continues, however, we see Zacharias make a misstep in his belief system. When the angel, Gabriel, visits him in the temple and confirms that his prayer has been answered, and that his barren (and old) wife, Elisabeth would bare a child called John, he was immediately struck with unbelief. He questioned Gabriel saying, “Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years” (18). This faithless doubt led to a sentence of dumbness cast over Zacharias until the tidings of the angel were come to past. “And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.” (20).

Five months later Gabriel is sent out from heaven to again deliver a message of conception to another unsuspecting candidate; this time Mary is the chosen recipient. When he visits her, he informs her that she will conceive the Savior of the world supernaturally without having ever slept with a man. Now, this declaration would be heavy to accept according to current societal standards, so imagine the news in this time period! But, the response of Mary to such sayings is what has now made her name and faith legendary throughout history. “And Mary said,… be it unto me according to thy word” (38).

The same message was given to each candidate by an angel of the Lord. Both parties were instructed that the naturally impossible was to become a vivid reality in their lives, as willed by God. It’s the response, however, that made the difference in their journeys toward the manifestation of the word spoken over them. One would think that Zacharias, being a priest, would immediately be believing of anything that took place spiritually from the Lord. He was used to dealing with the supernatural on a daily bases. However, his title (and job description) here, held no weight where his faith was lacking. Mary, on the other hand, was an ordinary young lady set to marry soon. But, her willingness to receive, and later conceive the message of an angelic hosts proves faith resides outside of, and can possibly override or undermine ones title. Mary was able to believe outside of her feelings and circumstances; and hence, is one of the most revered women in history.

How YOU respond to impossibility in this season, will be a direct correlation to what you receive in this New Year. Blessings or dumbness, you choose. In both scenarios the word of God manifested in the form of birth, but the players involved chose their positioning by their faith (or lack thereof).

What is God asking you to believe today? What is the impossibility that God is saying is possible but you doubt? What will you choose today, blessing or dumbness? Faith or doubt? The answer to your manifestation rides on your choosing. “For with God nothing shall be impossible” (37)!

Choose wisely,

God’s Planning in “Unplanned Parenthood”

As I contemplated the pregnancy status of an idolized American “Power Couple”, I found myself inquiring of God on a few subjects. My first question was why would He allow a baby to be born to a couple who blatantly disregarded His commandments? Especially when there are so many Christians in holy union who desire to be parents but cannot conceive. Almost immediately I heard God speak the words, through my lips, that this baby would be the restoration of this entire family unit. At that moment, I truly understood that God thinks generationally, and not just in a specific moment of time.

I then began to think on the birth of our Savior Jesus. He was conceived miraculously to an unsuspecting virgin. Hence, Mary’s pregnancy was unplanned to say the least. But, in God there is nothing that happens on the earth that is unplanned, especially births of children. God declared to Jeremiah that “I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations" (Jeremiah 1:5 NIV). Wow! There are absolutely no surprises when it comes to the birth of God’s little ones into the earth.

This revelation has helped me to further think like my heavenly Father, and not to draw carnal conclusions in tough situations. So, for those questioning why they were dealt a crummy hand in life, or how someone deemed evil could father a precious child, know that God makes no mistakes. His reasoning for producing children is always for the betterment of generations. Even when two parents are unfit physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually to raise children, know that there is purpose for them being conceived. God conceives children and there are NEVER mistakes in one being born at the time, place, and to the set of parents to which he/she is appointed to. God has purpose in all that He does, and in His sovereign wisdom there is never an unplanned birth.

Blessings good people!

Know today that you, your children, and/or your family were no mistakes. They were all destined and preapproved to honor the will of God.

I’m Bringing HOLY[Matrimony] Back…YEP!

Albert Michael/startraksphoto.com

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries
Kim Kardashian is the latest victim to be hoodwinked by Satan’s destructive antics.
There is a major attack against the marriage covenant in current society. And I for one will not sit back while God’s creation is ridiculed and dragged through the mud. I am utterly repulsed by the deception that people have bought into when it comes to this holy practice. Marriage is sacred. With that, All Need NOT Apply! Marriage is for the mature, the selfless, the loving, and despite current notions, for those marrying the opposite sex. And adding an even deeper unction, those who desire to marry ONE wife—let’s NIX the “Sister Wives” tomfoolery while we’re at it.

The attack on marriage is much more serious than people may think. As Satan ambushes the sanctity of marriage, he in essence is proposing the death sentence for humankind. Ponder with me for a second. If the world were made up of divorcees, polygamists, and/or homosexuals, how is humanity to continue without major dysfunction; physically, mentally, and spiritually? I don’t see that happening! The enemy is the author of all confusion and turmoil. Thus, a world that resembles this thought would be complete anarchy.

People must realize that signing on the dotted line is a lifelong commitment and not the latest fashion trend in Tinsel Town. And for those who unapologetically take marriage lightly, please understand that there are repercussions to this mindset. The Bible clearly outlines that when a marital union is severed because of anything other than abuse or infidelity—CODE NAME: irreconcilable differences—there is adultery being committed. Hence, those who continuously marry are only passing this spirit of adultery down the line to his/her other mates. Don’t believe me? Check for yourself! -----> Matt. 5:31-33, Matt. 19: 18-19, Mark 10:10-12, Luke 16:18

God is a God of His word. So, please don’t expect to be “blessed and highly favored” when you are blatantly disobeying His concise mandates. Those who truly love God follow Him in obedience (see John 14:15). It’s time to do the right thing, because it’s the right thing. Breakup before proceeding down the aisle in full wedding processional if you KNOW that you are selfish, childish, egotistical, spoiled, and have yet to, officially, GET OVER YOURSELF (among other things)!

Let’s honor God people! He is not pleased with our shenanigans, and how lightly we take His decrees. Get right Christians, and stop looking to celebrities, talk shows, reality television, and raunchy romance novels as your how-to-guides for Marriage 101. They don’t have a clue! Open your Bible. God teaches about everything one needs to know regarding relationships, love, marriage, and even the infamous three letter word, S-E-X (Can we still say that in Christian circles? te-he-he). God created it ALL, so check the Source.

Be blessed good people, and get your minds right!

Flash Your Badge!

You’ve seen the movies.

An unmarked car races up the street and whips into the fire lane in the front of a business entrance. The driver hops out, and just as police officers swarm to reprimand him about parking illegally they suddenly back off and allow him to proceed into the building.

What happened? Why did the police allow someone parked illegally to override the law?

Well the answer is clear. With a quick flip of the wrist the driver presented credentials that automatically overrode the authority of the officers. In one fluid motion and a single phrase, “F.B.I.”, he was given full access to assess the premises as he pleased.

This idea got me to thinking as I arose this morning. Too many Christians fall prey to the advances of the enemy and his shenanigans because we forget to flash our credentials. In these last days, God is requiring that believers boldly enter into enemy territory and bring out the people that He has marked as His own. However, those assigned to drive their cars into the fire lane, hop out the car, and retrieve the lost have failed to pack their all important credentials. The word of God is our weapon. When we wield it with precision these words have the power slice, cut, and avert any opposition that attempts to harm us. The Bible is not called a Christian's sword for nothing.

However, only physically carrying the Bible into dark and evil situations is going to do you no good. So for those individuals impersonating Christian officials, understand when you “hop out the car” in the dark you may not come out alive. Hence, do yourself a favor and really be who your credentials say you are. Otherwise, when the demons, witches, warlocks, principalities, etc. call your bluff you’ll be the fool stripped naked and sent running in the other direction like the exorcists in Paul’s days (see Acts 19:12-16).

This battle is real and God is looking for the REAL A. O. G.’s—Agents Of the Gospel. Now is not the time to flex your theological degrees and ministry experience, when you lack the heart change that makes you a genuine follower of Christ. Fakes will be found out as the heat turns, and death, insanity, and the like will be the identifying markers of posers. Don’t get caught slipping without your credentials! Satan knows who’s a threat to his kingdom and who’s full of hot air. Stop playing folks, because now is not the time. Lives are on the line!

Where’s your badge?!

In The Storm...

Have you ever been in a place where all hell has broke loose? Everything about you and your life is in utter disarray? Well, we’ve all been there at some time or another. But, the question of the day is, what do you do in the midst of total destruction, malignant turmoil, and sorrowful despair?

Answer: You praise God for His word.

Now, I will not lie and say that this does not sound absolutely crazy to me! How on earth is one to praise and be joyful when hell fires are beckoning to consume and drive insane?

Reading Acts 27 today truly brought revelation to this entire issue for me, and I pray it helps you as well. As we examine the Apostle Paul on a ship headed inevitably towards destruction he gives a word of hope to the other petrified passengers:

“So, dear friends, take heart. I believe God will do exactly what he told me. But we're going to shipwreck on some island or other.”Ver. 25-26 MSG

Now this message is great and all because Paul confirms that no life will be lost in this storm, but he never says that destruction will desist. How are we to handle such a message? In reading the entirety of this chapter we see that the men had already thrown overboard all their food and resources in an attempt to make the ship lighter. So, not only are they fearful when Paul delivers this semi-comforting message, they are also extremely hungry and absent of all earthly provisions.

What does all this mean?

There are times when God destines for us to shipwreck on a certain island in our lives. And before the actual grand “tada” of the explosion, He requires that we strip ourselves of all man-made provisions that we plan into our journey. God does this because He wants us solely dependent upon Him. But, even in the midst of being stripped of everything, God still sometimes sends word that destruction is a part of His plan. Wow!

It is during this time that many of us wave the white flag and give up, questioning how such a loving God would cause us to be destroyed. But, I am here today to proclaim to you as Paul, “Be of good cheer, for I believe that God will do exactly what He told you!” I know the possibility of success looks dismal in the storm, but be of good cheer. I know you question whether or not God loves you, but be of good cheer. I know that you question whether or not you are still in God’s will, but BE OF GOOD CHEER!

God has you right where He wants you; in sole dependence on Him alone. He wants us to have full faith and trust in Him only, even outside the realm of the wisdom that He has given us. This radical faith is what fuels the radical-unadulterated-makes-absolutely-no-sense worship that God desires. In moments like this spirit and truth meet seamlessly in our worship and God is well pleased!

So, be of good cheer my friend regardless of what storm threatens you today. Know that God sees and hears you; and you are exactly where He wants you. It’s time to throw your understanding, your wisdom, your degrees, and your form and fashion out the window because God desires a raw and uncut worship from you. You’ll weather this storm and come out brand new—even though you’ll pick up a few bumps and bruises from the shipwreck. But, God is with you so…

BE OF GOOD CHEER!

"Thy Kingdom Come": Pavement Soul Winning

As last night unfolded I found myself in a bowling-alley-turned-club (only in Atlanta), with the likes of those many would deem celebrities, mixing and mingling. I accompanied a friend to this function, and realized that being there was a portion of my destiny fulfilled. It truly made the essence of my purpose LIVE and in 3-D. Before I get to that, however, allow me to back track momentarily.

Two Words. Waka Flocka.
Before this particular night, I had no clue who or what a Waka Flocka was. So, it was to my surprise when the young man entered the building and the media crews rushed towards him. The entire time I’m pointing and asking, “Is that him”, because remember, I had no clue who this dude was. As his music fanfare marked his arrival, profanity rang out over the sound system. I immediately went into “I don’t like that” mode. However, when I was honored to greet and have a photo opt with the young man I was pleasantly surprised. And this mirrored the sentiments of my entire night. I had a really great time!

Never before had I felt more like my Savior, than this particular night. It sounds crazy, but allow me explain.  In a room full of habitual sinners, my light shined brightly, and a feeling of “this is where I need to be” washed over me. As I recall the ministry of Christ, He was NEVER, not followed by, or not in the company of sinners. Jesus came for the sick; and with the sick, is where you could always find Him. Thus, what blessed my heart the most during this event was that as I made my rounds (passing out flyers and contact info.), one young lady asked if she could have another flyer. Mind you, among the secular event flyers that were being distributed, she asked for a second admission ticket into the free Gospel concert that I was promoting!
I finally see what Christ sees. I finally understand His motivation to lead the lost back to the Father. And even if it’s only one, the Bible says, the shepherd searches tirelessly for the one lost sheep (Luke 15:3-10). Hence, the music that I heard over the loud speaker was not the spirit of the man I met in Waka Flocka. And the reciprocated smiles that greeted me around the room, was a direct indication of the God-breath within every human being.
But, with this revelation also came warning, and the first is to entertainers:
Don’t sell your soul for a quick buck. Don’t speak what’s popular, all for the sake of industry camaraderie and/or celebrity. Be ONLY who God has created you to be. Use your gifts and talents as God originally purposed them—for His glorification and the up-building of His Kingdom.
The second warning is to the Church:
Be mindful of the people, places and events you shun or neglect because of their “unholy” ramifications. Remember, there was someone who had to “search you out”—many times in these very places—in order to bring you out. You were not born saved. Secondly, it is our duty as Christians to bring the lost sheep into the fold. This is impossible to accomplish when everyone in our immediate surroundings are already Baaahhh-ing—you catch my drift?
This post is not an open invitation to go out “clubbing”, or to support artists with mindless lyrics. It’s a call to LOVE unconditionally. Time to bring God to the world and that can only be made manifest through agape love! Let’s save the world ya’ll by taking the Kingdom to the streets! Join me as I proclaim the words of Canton Jones, “I’m going up to heaven, taking all my folks!”
One Love.

Special shout out, and thanks to Block Talk Radio Show/Media with Queen Royalty for allowing me to be a special guest at this event. The experience was not only enlightening, but has rekindled my ambitious desire for “pavement” soul winning.

Get Off the Fence!

As an avid thinker, this week has truly been a time of deep contemplation. As I meditate on the truth filled words of the Scriptures, those things that contradict God’s mandates stick out obtrusively. It’s almost shocking, the things that people currently accept as “okay”, or shrug off as not a “big deal”. With that, I’m here to set the record straight! It’s time that everyone understands that it’s officially time to “Get Off the Fence”! Teams are being defined for the final battle, and folks need to make a choice to be on the winning side while there is still time.

In the past couple of days my posts on Facebook have been fueled by some of the articles and media commentary I have come across concerning the Church. Collectively, I am deeply saddened by the current state of Christ’s beloved bride. Compromise has hit the Church with a heightened vengeance, and many have bought the deception. I witness the blatant diluting of God’s truth, as it’s substituted with the “other gospels” that Paul spoke of in Gal. 1:6-9. I also recognize the gradual decline of the “just” that the Bible foreshadows as one of the occurrences that marks the final days. It’s absolutely horrible and hurts me to my core.

People have become so consumed with achieving fame, and arousing lustful whims for the sake of individualism. Oversized egos are the “acceptable” idols of this era. But, this lie concealed in fantasy, forgets to mention that there is nothing independently freeing in being held captive by dark rulers who thrive in carnality. Captivity contradicts the very purpose of why Christ died! He specifically came to set the captives free (see Isaiah 61:1). But, how do you bring liberty to prisoners who are oblivious of the chains that shackle and choke the very life from them? Answer: you keep preaching the Gospel.

God is using me this day to profess that NOW is the time to repent and “get off the fence” of IN & OUT. There are no gray areas in the Kingdom of God. There is no room for those who are partially-Christian, or semi-holy. It doesn’t work like that people. Choose ye today whom you will serve. And for the record if the world is not remotely upset or rebellious against your  lifestyle, it’s probably because you look strikingly similar to them. Check yourself. The folks who are popular in this world ARE NOT popular in heaven. It’s simple; “no man cannot serve two masters” (Matt. 6:24).

Time for a reality check folks, and I’m here to hand you a heavy dose of it. God is not pleased with the state of the Church; He’s coming back for one without blemish or wrinkle. Be not deceived into thinking that your half-hearted attempts at “living for Christ” are not being recorded as falsified shenanigans. God looks at the heart, so He ALWAYS knows the real, internal you. Get it right TODAY Church. Repent and Get Off the Fence! For Christ is soon to come.

Real Talk!

I May Be Stupid…

“I may be stupid, but I know what love is.” ~Forrest Gump

This simple quote came to me as I was cooking and immediately my mind asked—Forrest Gump? Yes Forrest Gump, the Holy Spirit answered. I begin to ponder on the quotation until the “aha” that I was supposed to understand finally came to me. When I observe the climate of current society, everyone is asking that others be open-minded to their choices and lifestyle decisions. However, when Christians requests the same liberties regarding our beliefs it’s often times disregarded or directly linked with "close-mindedness". And when such opinions arise against Christianity many believers find it necessary to retaliate with verbal warfare. However, we are to fight with our love and not our haphazard lips.

If we momentarily glance at Christianity from the viewpoint of those who mock us, they perceive a unilateral depiction of what Christianity is. By counting Christians they’ve personally encountered as the majority, they sum our faith up as hypocritical and highly theoretical. And from this perspective I would call their assumption correct. (Stay with me now.) I believe that believers have forgotten the very thing that Christ promised would make us a peculiar people, differentiated from the heathens of the world. We have replaced His holy antidote with doctrine, denominations, rules and regulations. Hence, negating this necessary component has created a volatile situation not only in the world, but within the Church, itself.

We have forgotten L-O-V-E people! Love is what covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Love is patient, kind, and keeps no record of wrongs (1 Cor. 13:4-8). Love is the highest commandment given to us by Christ to adhere to (Mat. 22:37-40), and LOVE is how people will know—for sure—that we are Christ’s disciples (John 13:35). I think it’s time that we all take an introspective check and ask ourselves if LOVE is the ultimate priority in our lives. If not, how do we expect to evangelize the world and make disciples?

With that, I expect the world to have sideways comments regarding Christianity. I expect darkness to NEVER comprehend light. But, even with the STUPID things that unbelievers suggest about Christianity, they know what LOVE is. They understand love perfectly because we were all created in perfect love. Hearts connect to hearts, so even when idiots speak against our faith, lure them to the light with love. It’s the only way to truly win souls for the Kingdom of God!

I Love You All!

Dance Moms: Monster On The Loose!

Twisted. Disgraceful. Utterly Perverted. From the terms one would think I was writing about some completely dark demonic force. And I am! But, where I find it is in a place one would least expect; in the confines of a children’s dance studio. I am utterly appalled at what I witness as I watch Dance Moms. For the record, I rarely watch television because of the retarded content, but one would assume that a show about young girls dancing and competing for titles would be harmless—WRONG!

This show truly pushed all the wrong buttons in my spirit as I watch laissez-faire moms subject their daughters to a witch of a woman who belittles and exposes them to emotions, scenarios, and language that children should never be in the midst of. I am completely O-V-E-R unfit parents exploiting their children on television to cash in on a “reality star” paycheck! However, when said “child stars” grow up and turn to unnatural, illegal, and hostile measures in order to gain a sense of the sanity and stability that they lacked during childhood then it’s, “Where did I go wrong?!”

I watched a women (Abby: studio owner)—with no children—use manipulation, rudeness, and guilt trips to drive wedges between mother and child. In thirty minutes of footage I witnessed grown women allow eight year olds to dress in raunchy outfits and perform equally less than desirable dance routines. And when the innocent children had no clue about being “sinful”, as they were instructed to perform, Abby (of course) made it her business to "shed light" on this knowledge. Afterwards the girls were left with yet another piece of their innocence snatched away from them.

Children don’t deserve to grow up before their times, while irresponsible adults sit and allow such subjugation. Where on earth are the people of God who will no longer sit around and let such treatment of the innocent persist? So, many times people look overseas to help, but fail to see the madness going on in our own back yard! Why are our children, commercially, allowed to take the brunt of Satan’s evil twisted sense of humor for the sake of entertainment? I, for one, will no longer sit around when we have been given authority to trample over serpents, and subdue principalities and EVERY dark spirit! I expose the evil spirit today and command that you return to the pits of hell from whence you came, in the name of ALMIGHTY JESUS!

NO MORE!

“Big Sexy”: The Gospel Truth

I’ve just witnessed my first sixty minute encounter with "Big Sexy" on TLC…..

What do I feel? I’m not sure except that I’m beginning to experience the faint taste of bile in the back of my throat. This, bundled with utter sadness at the climate of today’s world regarding where women—specifically BIG women—fit in it. I find myself with a perplexed facial question mark as I watch the show. But, the answer to my visible WHY is strikingly clear. When people, especially a historically ostracized people (see fat folks) are suddenly given a chance to mount the world’s gawking platform to be ogled, exploitation is ALWAYS the result. And this is the case even when truthful “reality” is said to be the goal.

What I notice in this hour long presentation is a band of hurting girls—in one form or fashion. And how they are dealing with the hurts and disappointments of their current realities, is how any carnal human being would. As a matter of fact, I used to be that girl. I used to be the oversexed, emotion-driven, volatile woman who wrapped it all up in a “high-self-esteemed” LIE. It’s a sad reality, but true. And my heart goes out to these women when I hear the true cries of their souls in statements like, “We put up with garbage, but we know that there has to be a present in this garbage heap,” “I get rejected a lot”, or “I’m tired of fighting.”

These are the honest soul cries that surface—full throttle—when the cameras are turned off and the checks have been signed and dated. These internal messages are the residue found under the mounds of make-up, provocative clothing, and layers of false “big-girls-are-da-bomb” soliloquies. What do I see? I see nothing more than beautiful, lost women crying out for a Savior from the madness that they currently—and possibly have always—find themselves in.

I pray that ALL women understand from this message that I leave that God loves you the way you are, and there’s no need to impress Him with pumped-up presentations. Moreover, as a rule of thumb, over-compensation always means that there is lack of peace in some department. I pray that these representative “Big Sexy” women find the solace that they desire at the cross, and stop looking for LOVE in all the wrong places. God is love, and Jesus said that no man comes to the Father except through Me.

So, know, trust, and understand that your eternal joy and peace will never be found at the bottom of a cocktail, at a sleazy BBW singles party, or in empty self-deprecating “fat girl jokes”. It’s only found in our eternal Savior, Jesus Christ.

Signing Off With Love,

A House Divided: Demarcation Lines in Christendom

After posting a picture of Lil’ Wayne, Soulja Boy, and Kat von Dee on my Facebook page and posing a question regarding Christians and tattoos, it’s amazing the responses received. One picture brought out the opinions of ALL the saints. However, such commentary on the photo revealed the startling reality of the condition of the body of Christ today. We are divided. Hence, there exists Christians who believe in the complete polar opposite of other believers. This should not be if we all profess the same Jesus Christ as Savior. Now don’t get wrong, I do understand that we all must “work out our own salvation” (Phil. 2:12), but there are deep demarcation lines that run through Christendom. Why? How?

When studying the Bible, BC and AD Christians were the most powerful when they were on one accord. Think Tower of Babel (Gen. 11:5-8), Wall of Jericho (See Joshua), Day of Pentecost (Acts 2). These moments were monumental in Christian history; however, they were only impactful because the Christians agreed with one another. The Bible also says, how can two travel together unless they go in the same direction and agree (see Amos 3:3)? This notion is “common sense” simple, but the practice of this verse of scripture is not as “commonplace” today.

Today I find Christians more concerned with asserting themselves, their denominations, or carnality over the pure and unadulterated love and mandates of God. Accordingly, there has been huge compromise that has taken place over the centuries, and this generation is no exception. Actually, I view more blatant compromise in the Christian community, today, than in any other time historically. So then my question for the body remains the same, why?

Why are Christians compromising core “Jesus” values and decrees for the sake of fashion, fortune, fame, and other sensual desires? Why is there a growing need for Christians to be “in” and “cool”, and go unnoticed as anything different from current societal norms? I believe that as Christians we must daily check ourselves with the Holy Ghost’s promptings because we currently look too much like the world! Peculiar people who are “truly” apart of God’s royal priesthood are hard to come by these days. And not because these “compromising Christians” are bad people, or they despise God; no, they have simply conformed to worldly standards because physical reality rings more REAL than spirituality. Thus, many resemble worldly ambassadors rather than Christ’s ambassadors, because the unseen is rather difficult to identify with without proper discipline.

If we are to truly live out the words of the Bible we must make up in our minds that compromise is not an option. What God placed in the Bible—both Old and New Testament—was meant to be used as our perfect guideline. So, to use the Bible in bits and pieces, to justify carnal actions, or as a "feel good" mechanism is not what God intended. And until Christians read the Bible as our only life source, we will continue to be divided on every issue and look shockingly more and more like the heathen.

So, my final question to Christians today is borrowed from the late Original King of Comedy, Bernie Mac: “Who you wit’!” You must answer this honestly because God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit already know the true answer to this inquiry.

Think about it and pick a team for good.

Idiotic Cartoon Behavior

Last weekend’s hair appointment garnered much more than a fly hair cut! I was left with an ever-souring taste in my mouth regarding the foolishness that is currently on television. It seems as though youth-targeted shows are of the most grotesque in content.

To make a long story short, my hairdresser had on the show American Dad. Now, I’ve seen previews of this show, but never witnessed a full episode; until now. I was appalled! This cartoon promoted drug usage, open fornication, and profane language. The use of innuendos was absent as the foul mouth characters openly discussed the “okay” factor of teenagers having premarital sex and the “joys” of smoking crack! What?! I felt like I was either in the Twilight Zone, or on the hidden camera show Punk’d! This vulgarity could not be unfolding before my eyes on DAYTIME television!

And I kept thinking, THIS IS A CARTOON!!!!

What type of tomfoolery are the writers of these shows subscribing to?!

At that instant, the complete and utterly Satan-induced perversion of this world’s system slapped me in the face. This realization quickened my spirit to put an end to such nonsense! Children should not be subject to foolishness that idiotic adults market under the guise of “harmless” animation. And I for one, will not stand for the early leadings of our children to hell! The young mind is highly impressionable, and how dare Satan target our future!

I’m on a head-hunting mission to tear down the kingdom of darkness! And first order of business is putting such LAME attempts at “entertainment” out of business for good! It’s not okay! As adults, if you choose to go to hell after being presented with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, That’s Yo’ Business! But, I will not let the innocent, who have yet to develop the mechanics of understanding right and wrong, be led to damnation all in the name of entertainment! Devil, I THINK NOT!

I’m Officially Pissed Off!

Celebrating Real Life

While listening to music, I realize that it’s so easy to get wrapped up in the technicalities of life. We become so concerned with the little inconsistencies that we miss out on just living. This is a great travesty because a joyous, happy, and full life is precisely what Christ promised us in John 10:10. Go out and live folks! Pursue and accomplish those burning passions that God has placed within you. By doing the small things that we enjoy—flying a kite, playing the guitar, teaching dance—we un-box God in our lives.

God is in absolutely everything, regardless of twisted ideology and speculation. He created everything for our enjoyment and ALL THINGS belong to Him. “The earth is the Lord’s, the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1). Nothing belongs to Satan or is earmarked as his “property” or “industry”—he’s powerless, unless granted your power. He took what God created and skewed our perception of it, which led to perversion through carnal lusts.

Reclaim your independence from perversion through salvation in Christ Jesus. Then allow Him to re-teach you what the “off-limits” are in life. You’ll probably be surprised by what Christ recommends for good-living. Religiosity is suffocating the life out of God’s purposed creativity! It’s time to break free for good. Enjoy life people. This is what Christ desires above all things because He gave up His life, so that we would have a full one. Don’t let Him down. Accept Christ’s salvation, follow the Holy Spirit, and pursue every internal passion without impeding inhibitions.

Celebrate Life Today!

“I Can’t Be Bothered”: Rejecting Agitation, Frustration, and Other Peace Robbers

Allow me to set the scenario. Ladies will best understand this one.

Just imagine with me for a minute. You have just gotten out the shower and are drying your hair from a fresh wash. You feel refreshed; your hair is happy because it’s no longer dirty. You take your time to prep your hair to sit under the dryer—you already know how fly it’s going to look when you’re done! As soon as you set up your hood dryer, position yourself under it, and turn it on, the breaker in your house trips and all the power goes out. You’ve got somewhere to be and you thought that your apartment complex had previously rectified the faulty breaker situation. What do you do? How do you feel? What is your response to this fiasco?

True story. I went through a month full of these eventful occurrences with my power, and the first week I was overwhelmed with agitation. It wasn’t fair that my apartment was the only one affected by this problem. Maintenance knew about it, the power company was made aware, but still this issue plagued me. This month of “fluke” power outages tested me beyond my limit of peace until I realized something mid-month. This was something that I had no control over. I had reported the issue to every proper authority in the field. I, myself, am not an electrician so I couldn’t remedy the problem. So, what did I do? I wrapped up my hair, grabbed my laptop, and marched to the front office!

However, what I did next surprised me. When I got there I wanted to “go off” for the zillionth time; but for what? Instead, I simply asked if I could use the office power source to finish a project that needed to be completed. I chose that day to not be bothered by issues that were out of my control. I trusted that God saw, He heard my prayers regarding the problem, and that I had done everything in my power to bring about solution to the issue. I decided that day that frustration would not steal my joy because it was not supplied by it.

When we come to the realization that Christ came that we should have life, and life more abundantly (John 10:10), that all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28), and that Christ’s peace was left with us to utilize and enjoy (John 14:27), it’s easier to let stuff go. I have come to the conclusion that nothing—and I mean nothing or no one—will steal the peace that I have worked 26 years to receive and accept. I let things go with quickness if they even bring the “implication” of agitation. God does not desire us to be stressed, annoyed, disturbed, or angry so I reject those emotions. When they arise I speak aloud my new favorite phrase, “I can’t be bothered” and keeps it moving!

There’s so much more to life than being aggravated with things we can’t change. Pray about it, believe that you have what you say, do your part, and then LET IT GO! What will happen, will happen. In the meantime go enjoy the abundant life that God has promised us. Adopt my saying and love, laugh, and LIVE!

Peace be with you!

Watch The Throne: The Battle For Words

I am a firm believer in calling a cat a cat, and a spade a spade, if you catch my drift. So when I see a devil adorned in bling he’s nothing more than a sparkly devil to me. Today, I write in utter disgust at the audacity of the enemy, and the power of seduction that he has blinded many with, in the arena of words. As I read the commentary about the new Jay-Z and Kanye West album, Watch The Throne, I am immediately queasy. Not, by those who give the commentary or the artists themselves, but at the blatant darkness that is being passed off as the next “in” form of light. People—especially saints—must be mindful of what we allow to flow through our eye and ear gates. The Bible beckons us to "guard our heart", as well as these other entrances (see Proverbs 4:20-27 ). Taking heed to this proclamation is direly important because once garbage enters your heart, it will leave your mouth. “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34). Moreover, if life isn’t flowing from your internal well—24-7-365—then death is the only other alternative.

Our words are a hot commodity today. Satan doesn’t want your stuff, he wants your words. Why, because he knows that you will have what you say (see Mark 11:23-24 & Job 22:28). And misery loves company; therefore, he wants to establish death in your life so that it will eventually lead to eternal damnation. Hey, don’t take my word for it; check the scriptures for yourself because it’s all there. It’s time to say what you mean and mean what you say, because this battle of words is a life or death situation. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverb 18:21)!

Understand that on Judgment Day God won’t accept what you meant in the place of what you said. We will all give an account of every careless word (see Matthew 12:36). Do you really want to get in front of the Creator fumbling and at a lost for the right words? God accepts no excuses. Holiness is His standard; so either do away with unholy things and play for His team, or be prepared to do battle with Him. But, do understand that the Messiah holds an undefeated title. Going toe to toe with Him is death. Period.

Mark my words: choose your words wisely!
